Tamborine Mountain Arts Collective

To establish a working arts and artisans’ hub that inspires and transfers creative practices of excellence to the wider community.

To establish a signature tourist destination that promotes community activities to educate, demonstrate and exhibit the skills of artists and artisans.

Tamborine Mountain Arts Collective (TMAC) is a grassroots group of working artists and artisans whose aim is to create opportunities for artists who live within the region through workshops, mentoring and artists-in-residence programs.

Tamborine Mountain and the Scenic Rim region is known for its natural beauty and this is one of the main reasons why so many artists choose to live in this area. It is close to both Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Beaudesert and has always been a tourist destination for many international visitors as well as locals.

In the past Gallery Walk at Tamborine Mountain was known as a place to view and buy individual works of Art.  TMAC would like to reintroduce visitors to the Arts of Tamborine Mountain by creating a local Artists Hub with workshop facilities, a coffee shop, exhibition and retail spaces.  This will provide a space for artists, artisans and cultural workers to interact with like minded people, the public and local business.

We are pleased to be able to exhibit, over the internet the works of our local artists
