Artisan Fayre – a Christmas Bonanza
The Tamborine Mountain Arts Collective’s Artisan Fayre weekend was an outstanding success showing the creative talents of 40 local artists. Unique handmade items were on sale giving patrons the opportunity to buy original Christmas gifts that cover all areas of the visual arts.
Demonstrations and workshops were held during the two days including indigenous fire lighting techniques, card making for kids (a really good Christmas activity for the school holidays), macramé, basket weaving, glass making and glass blowing to mention a few.
Entertainment was provided by “Shee Tree”, the JB Band, the Goat Track Theatre Group, roving musicians and buskers. Heike from “Spice of Life” cafe catered for the needs of the inner body with coffee, tea, soft drinks and a delicious selection of tasty food during the weekend.
The Official Opening of the Artisan Fayre was conducted by Bronwyn Davies.
We wish to thank all the local people and businesses who have supported TMAC in so many ways as this reflects the support and interest in the arts from the local community.
